National Day of Mediation

On 07.07.2022, our Managing Partner Ms. Krenare Muja, attended a meeting held at the Ministry of Justice on the occasion of the National Day of Mediation.

Such event was organized by the National Chamber of Mediators in Albania, in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, with the support of the project “Expanding and Empowering the Mediation System in Albania” with funding from the Austrian Development Agency.

During the meeting was highlighted the urgent need for strengthening the mediation system in Albania in the light of the current developments with the Albanian judicial system and also, as a recommendation from the European Union for Albania. Additionally, during the event the National Chamber of Mediators and National Chamber of Notaries in Albania signed a Memorandum of Understanding that aims at including mediation as an out of court dispute resolution method, in all notarial acts, when applicable.

The event was attended, among others, by Ms. Drita Avdyli, Chairwoman of the National Chamber of Mediators in Albania, Ms. Ganimete Xhelili, Chairwoman of the National Chamber of Mediators in Kosovo, Ms. Mimoza Sadushi, Chairwoman of the National Chamber of Notaries in Albania, Dr. Christian Steiner, Ambassador of Austria in Albania and Mr. Ulsi Manja, Minister of Justice in Albania.

For nearly a decade now Muja Law has contributed to the strengthening and empowerment of the mediation system in Albania through providing mediation services as a dispute resolution method. We understand the value of such methods and the benefits arising from them and as such, we are committed to providing our expertise in this regard whenever necessary.
